We’ve seen pictures of Hawkeye and heard rumors about them, but finally, we get to see the Avenging Archers of Hawkeye.
Marvel Studios has released the first official trailer of their newest Disney+ streaming show, Hawkeye. The trailer stars Jeremy Renner, who is returning to the role of Clint Barton. Bumblebee’s Hailee Stonefeld plays Kate Bishop, a 22 year old archer who wants his fate to be the same. The series was heavily inspired Matt Fraction and David Aja’s award-winning comics runs featuring the duo. It follows Barton as he trains Kate Bishop, who is obsessive about Clint’s career, as a member Earth’s Mightiest Heros, in the art of superheroic vigilantism, as the next generation bears the name Hawkeye.
Clint Barton was surrounded by enemies during the time between Avengers and Endegame. In the new Hawkeyetrailer from Disney Plus, nearly all of them gather in New York to prevent him from returning home to his family before Christmas. Marvel Studios’ premiere trailer for the series shows Clint on the run. However, Kate Bishop, Hailee Steinfeld’s character, is featured in the spotlight.
According to reports Clint will also be spending the series training Kate Bishop.
She’ll be played by Dickinson, and Edge of Seventeen’s Hailee Steingfeld. Clint is training Kate in Hawkeye’s role and she’s a key part of the MCU’s future.
Hawkeye will also star Florence Pugh, who returns to the MCU as her Black Widow character Yelena Belova. As we saw during the post-credits scene of Black Widow, Yelena is one of the people recruited to track Clint down and answer for his suspected crimes — which, as we know, he didn’t technically commit.
The first episode of Marvel’s Hawkeye series hits Disney Plus on Wednesday, Nov. 24. If you need a Marvel fix now, new episodes of animated anthology show What If…? are currently hitting the streaming service each Wednesday.
