Recent Official Announcement From RELIANCE JIO and AIRTEL.
Both of India’s top two telecom providers have announced free recharge packs and benefits for low-income customers impacted by COVID-19. So that they can keep connected with their family, friends, relatives, and close ones.
So let’s find out which telecom company has the best offers:
1. RELIANCE JIO
On this recent Friday, the jio company announced free 300 minutes of outgoing calls per month to the user. It’s important to note that this scheme is only for Jio Phone users. who have not been able to recharge due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis in India.
Jio announced that the free 300 minutes of outgoing calls per month for Jio Phone users will be available for the entire period of the pandemic, Jio has not specified exactly for how many months this scheme is valid.
In this project Reliance Jio is working with Reliance Foundation, the nonprofit wing of Reliance Industries, to offer free calling minutes to Jio Phone users.
The benefit is only limited to Jio Phone users who have not been able to recharge. The operator has, however, not provided any clarity on the period it would consider for not recharging the Jio Phone account to offer the free voice calling benefit.
reliance jio official said in a statement that the free minutes will come with a quota of 10 minutes per day. This means that users will not be able to make calls for more than 10 minutes a day using the free minutes
In addition to free minutes, Jio has brought a buy-one-get-one recharge plan offer for Jio Phone users that will offer a free recharge some specific plans are entitled to receive an additional recharge plan of the same value for free. For instance, if a user is recharging with the Rs. 75 plan, they will get an additional Rs. 75 plan in the queue for free. The additional plan will also come with fresh validity. This will essentially double the validity and other benefits of a recharge plan.
It’s important to notice that the additional free recharge offer is not applicable on annual or Jio Phone device-bundled plans.
2. AIRTEL
Last Sunday Bharti Airtel telecom company announced that it would offer a recharge pack of Rs. 49 for free as a one-time gesture for its prepaid customers. Airtel telecom company also said that its prepaid customers buying the ₹79 recharge coupon would get double the benefit.
According to Airtel’s announcement, The free recharge of Rs 49 will offer Talktime worth Rs 38 and validity of 28 days. Apart from this, subscribers of the Rs 79 pack will get double benefits. These double benefits include 400MB of data and ₹256 worth of Talktime. The Validity will likely remain at 28 days.
Airtel is one of the largest telecom operators in India and the company says it has introduced these offers to help its 55 million low-income customers mostly in rural India to help them to stay connected during the pandemic challenging times. The airtel company says this will amount to benefits worth Rs. 270 crores and will be available to customers from this week only.
