Sooryavanshi Storyline
The film opens with a recount of the 1993 Mumbai Blasts, in which the parents of DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, the head of the Anti Terrorism Squad, got killed. A series of events shows that Lashkar chief Omar Hafeez has been planning more attacks, and has thus formed a sleeper cell network which includes 40 terrorists who plan to pose as Indian citizens with a motive of planning more bombings after the 26/11 Attacks, one of whom is Omar’s son Riyaz. The film switches to the present day where, after much effort, Sooryavanshi, along with his team, nabs Riyaz, who has had been living with a different identity in Jaisalmer.
Sooryavanshi’s senior Kabir Shroff, the man who solved the case during the blasts, reveals that a full ton of RDX was brought to India, of which 400 kilograms were used during those bombings and the remnant 600 kilograms are still buried somewhere in India.
Sooryavanshi plans to catch the remaining members of the sleeper cell, even as he remembers his wife Ria, as the film flashes back 9 years ago, where a wounded Sooryavanshi, who had been shot by a bullet came across Ria, a doctor.
Sooryavanshi and his team enlist the Army’s help to safely extradite the bombs through helicopters and the bombings nearly fail. Riyaz and his companions, however, use Ria as a suicide bomber to attack the ATS Headquarters. At this stage, Sooryavanshi’s friend Bajirao Singham enters along with Simmba, after which the trio defuses the bomb wrapped around Ria and then fights off the terrorist attackers. Sooryavanshi finally reconciles with Ria.
