Wow, this exceeded my expectations as I am a fan of the books and wasn’t sure how this would turn out. It’s really good – Pratt does a great job with the PTS showing off its features and dealing with the internal turmoil of losing. and trauma. The production values are solid and the story has a good pace, with each episode leaving you wanting more. Also, I accept the whole premise that people have to pay a price. This thriller is not for the faint of heart, I highly recommend it. And for the book series, the Audible version is excellent too. I listen to it on long runs or on walks.
Ms. Marvel Season 1
Kamala is a superhero fan with an imagination, particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel; Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home, that is until she gets superpowers like the heroes she’s looked at up to.
Ms. Marvel is a really fun addition to the MCU, and the show is REALLY creative in how it handles stuff like texts, and drawings because they all move and have a distinct quality to them. All the characters are fun and likable, and the lead character: Kamala Khan is a relatable teen who loves The Avengers the first episode is all about her and her best friend: Bruno trying to get to AvengersCon without being noticed by her parents. The entire episode is fast-paced with humor and wit, BUT- EPISODE ONE: BUT- the episode lacks the action we’ve grown to love the MCU for, and the scene where Kamala uses her powers for the first time at AvengersCon. CGI looks a bit weird and off.
