Venom: Let There Be Carnage storyline
In the year 1996, a teen Cletus Kasady is enthralled by Frances Barrison at an orphanage before she is sent from the home to be taken to Ravencroft Institute. In the process she utilizes her sonic scream abilities to escape, and then attacks an officer in the police force who is young Mulligan. Mulligan is shot by Barrison on the cheek, and is injured in his ear.
